As the Guns Banged, By C. Michael
As the guns banged and the cannons boomed,
The Civil war had just begun
To thunder and crack all over the land.
    The men had fought,
    The men had died,
The men had saved our troubled lives.

The Union Soldiers, By C. Michael
    The Union soldiers,
Tried to cross the cold river,
    But got bombarded,
    Mear the dawns hours.
They were marching near their camp.
    It started raining,
    This they did not need,
For the troops were up ahead.
    Now the cold set in,
    Then the charge was on,
    They battled in the mud,
    The Union did retreat.

Civil War, A Haiku By Lieren
    Civil War was so wrong,
Fought for the cause of freedom,
    Brothers turn to foes.

Boom! Crash!, By Lieren
    BOOM! CRASH! The cannons roared,
As the blood bloody war went on and on,
"AH! AH!" screamed the soldiers gored,
During the battles lost and won,
POW! POW! POW! go the guns loud,
Falling men dressed in grey or in blue,
    Crying women back home,
Sorrowing for their lost true loves.

The Union's Cannons, A Haiku By Chris
    The Union's cannons,
Booming loud in the light sky,
    Destroying the ground.

The Union Soldiers, By Chris
The Union soldiers running in the woods,
    Wearing hats instead of hoods.
The Confederated soldiers firing their guns,
Some of them worrying about their sons,
The Confederate soldiers dressed in gray,
Saying we'll beat them one day.
The Confederate Army with their skills,
Made well more than a thousand kills.

The War, By Drake
    The war was fought
    Too many lives lost.
Each side was wrong and right.
But America had to pay the cost.

Imagine, By Kendra
Imagine when people were not free,
Boys and girls just like you and me.
    The Civil War was fought,
For people to be free, not bought.

Civil War, A Haiku, By Josh
    Civil War
    There was nothing
    Civil about it.

The Civil War, By Josh
    The North screams out,
    That all men are free.
    The South shouts out,
Not them just you and me!
    The North screams out,
    You must let them go!
    The South shouts out,
    No freedom, no!
The screams turn into cannon blasts,
    The shouts turn into shots.
Now the Civil War has come,
    And many men will die.
Now the Civil War has come,
    And many women will cry.
